Vintage lace & Grunge cuff

Brrrrr still so cold , think I should have a go at a touch of altered art on my trusty hot water bottle or perhaps I could make a patchwork cover for it instead LOL!

Anyway a little bit of lace and some grunge paper and today for my vintage cuff.  I painted the grunge paper with cream emulsion then stamped the Tim Holtz papillon text stamp in embossing ink and white embossing powder, and then rubbed a little old paper distress ink.

As the grunge paper is a little thin I glued two layers together before stitching and adding the buttons, pearls and some seed beads.  I used the tim holtz tattered florals die and some felt, lace and a button to make the flower and to finish I used a hitch fastener as a closure.

Pictures are a bit rubbish as the white was difficult to photograph.

Thanks for all your lovely comments and Happy Crafting XX

  1. Hi Paula, this cuff is really unique. It is beautifully embellished. It would look really nice on a vintage jar or canister.
    Have a wonderful week.
