The Bag Lady

Tis official I am a Bag Lady LOL! With limited time at the moment for crafting I'm still managing to squeeze in a little sewing. I've fallen in love with japanese linens, which is what I've used here for exterior of the Graceful Kelly bag. I resisted the urge to add lace and embellishments as I didn't want to cover up any of the fabric. I used a free pattern from U-handbag.com.

It's pretty roomy too and I liked the fabric so much I made another bag from Lisa Lams The bag bible. This time a reverse able shopper. Bias binding is a dirty word around here now LOL.  I made the central yoyo flower as a removable fastener.

Oh dear I'm becoming a hoarder of fabric now as well as paper, yikes what is it with us crafters.

And few piccies off a mini break to Wells-next-to-the-sea to bore you with.

As much as I like blue sky it's so much more interesting with some puffy clouds, don't you think!

Have a fabby day & Happy Crafting XX

Dear Paula
When do I get to move into your home?!!! I adore handbags of all shapes and sizes so to be able to create one from a pattern leaves me in awe of your sewing talents.
These are incredibly beautiful, I know I would buy them if I spied them in a shop.

Lynne
P.S. Lovely photographs you've shared.
