~ Some more Shabby Vintage ~

I know not another one, it will be my last for a while as I have some more 3 dimensional projects I'm doing ATM.

Now I've uploaded the photo I've noticed that it looks like the bird is balancing the heart on his tail. Well what can I say he is is a very clever bird & it's too late to change it as it is well and truly glued down now LOL!

I made my own background paper for this one using some of my favourite labels, script and post mark stamps. I stamped them using coffee archival ink and toned it down with picket fence stain. I used distress inks in old paper and victorian velvet to tint the paper. The frame, hinge, flower and heart are also made using this paper. The bird is painted using fresco finish paints.

I'm entering this for the following challenges

Simon Say Stamp and show us your Handmade backgrounds
One stop craft challenge ~  handmade flowers
Sugarcreek Hollow ~ layers

Have a lovely crafty weekend,  hopefully it will be a sunny one XX

  1. I never tire of your Shabby cards Paula.
The birdie doing the balancing art brings a touch of whimsy which is delightful - even though it was not intended.
Your bg paper is so beautiful and satisfying that you created it yourself.

  3. I love your background Paula, so delicate and of course my favourite (and latest purchase) stamp to top it off, and it doesn't matter one bit about the balancing bird - he is so clever.

  12. Beautiful, beautiful dreamy card, it is so lush. I didn't notice the balancing act until you mentioned it. It certainly does not detract in any way. Gorgeous.
