Something For A Child ~ FSC

Something for a child is the latest Fashionable Stamping Challenge. This certainly was a challenge for me, as you've probably noticed I rarely if ever make anything suitable for children.
Do check out the other Fashionettes truly gorgeous projects, for lots of inspiration. Remember it is a stamping challenge so we do need to see some stamping included on your project. Our lovely sponsor is Marina from Cottage Crafts and the winning entry can choose anything from her shop up to the value of €7. So please come and join the challenge.

I rummaged through my ever increasing stamp supplies (which is causing me more problems as I seem to spend more & more time dithering about which to use LOL!!) and decided on this one from paperbag studios. I decided on primary colours and used some papermania papers for backing. I stamped on watercolour paper and used my water colour paints to colour her in. The flower is a Wendy Vecchi art parts one that I had a go sort of zentangling on. I don't know if there is a certain way to do it, but I just did it ad hoc!

Hope you are having a great weekend and enjoying the lovely mild weather. XX

Hi Paula. Very eye catching. Wonderful card with all the detail. Really do love it. Love how you have coloured the center image. Those images are not the easiest to colour and look right but as always you have done a beautiful job.

The colours and image are perfect for a child card Paula and although a very different style for you, it has worked perfectly.
How funny I was thinking the other day how long it takes me to make choices about stamps, paper, colours etc. I have definitely got too much stash lol.
Have a great Sunday.

Another beautiful card - great use of colour and the zentagling(?)looks good to me.
Think I may have that stamp - have so many I keep 'finding' different ones, it's like buying them new all over again. Sad thing is so many are unused - must have too much money.
Have a good Sunday - I'm off out to do a bit of tidying in the garden.

I had no idea you zentangled the flower until reading your post, what a clever idea and certainly catches the eye.
The colours work so beautifully with the stamp.
Heh! Heh! Too many stamps, somehow I don't think you are alone with that problem!

P.S. Did you notice that your heart shaped box was showcased over at Jean's CI Blog?

Paula, this is just beautiful, I love how you have used those Papermania papers and the way the eye is drawn to the central image is fantastic. I think even Barbara Gray would find it hard to find fault with your zentangling!

The boldness of this card really pops off the page but the image of the adorable little boy softens your eyes and makes you go awwwww when you see him. Sweetness.
