Victorian stocking

I'm certainly enjoying making Christmas decorations this year. The only Christmas stockings I used to have as a child were net ones filled with chocolate that I used to eat far too much of and make myself feel sick LOL, we always had pillowcases filled with our pressies! So I decided to make myself a stocking.

I used some printable cotton and some images from the Graphics fairy and lots of lace and trims. The fabric for the main stocking is a linen and cotton blend fabric with some calico for the lining.

I managed to photograph it outside in between showers as my indoor camera skills are pretty poor.

Hopefully none of you are effected by the dreadful weather conditions, so devastating for everyone concerned.

Have a great day and Happy Crafting. xx

Stunning!! Love the idea of a Victorian stocking!! Sadly my children are way too old for stockings... (they don't think so, but I do:o)) But, if you are going to sell these in your folksy shop, I may well get one for my new grand daughter for next year! (this year she's a bit too small still...)

Love the stocking Paula, one to treasure and pass down the family:) Just noticed that you are selling on the Folksy site, will keep an eye out when I need presents, although I could find it difficult to part with them! I remember having a pillowcase stuffed with presents, great memories:)

Beautiful Paula, love the romantic feel of this. Like you I had to make do with a net stocking - but I did have big paper sack as well with oranges and nuts at the bottom. Used to tip out all the toys to get to the chocolate on Christmas morning.

I finished one of the boxes I asked about - thanks again for your help.
