Soul of the Rose

I don't own many Oxford Impressions stamp but I did buy The Soul of the Rose set from my first visit to LB Crafts early last year, unfortunately LB Crafts has now closed its doors, which is a shame as I'd only just discovered it and used to enjoy visiting Olney. But I can console myself by using this set of stamps which has lots of gorgeous Pre Raphaelite images. I used my favourite stamp which is of a painting by J. W. Waterhouse and I gave her the full shabby treatment.

I stamped onto glossy paper with archival ink and used my zig photo markers to tint the image. The background paper is from Kaisercraft sweet nothings range. The rose is stamped onto an old book page and I distressed a mica tile.

I am entering this in the following challenges

Craft room Challenge ~ Vintage
Simon Says Stamp & show ~ Anything goes
The Stampman ~ Vintage
Pan pastel challenge ~ Girly/Mother's Day

The sun has finally made an appearance so I'm off out now, we have had fog all this week.

Have a great day & happy crafting xx

This was the first O.I. sets I bought (not too long ago actually) because I had to have this stamp - the painting was always a favourite on mine. I could easily use this stamp week in week out and have to will myself not to do so lol.
A stunning card Paula, but then, each card you make is always stunning.

Stunning, Paula - I really would have thought that was a collage image and not a stamp, it's so beautifully coloured. Gorgeous work x

Oh Paula, when I saw this coming up in my side bar I thought "she cannot possibly have stamped that image", but of course this is you we are talking about, I should have known better. Totally amazing and i love the vintage layered style, it suits the stamp so well. I am in love with those Kaisercraft papers, they are so gorgeous!!

Could have sworn I posted a comment on here yesterday afternoon but my computer keeps playing up. Anyway what I said, and it bears repeating, is that your colouring skills are fantastic - hard to believe it is done with markers and not printed out as the shading is perfect - well done Paula. Will have to look out for those marker pens.
