I painted with my trusty matte emulsion and stamped with archival ink. Inktense pencils for the fairies and distress inks and versamagic ink to tint the arch. The metal flowers and wooden butterflies are sponged with acrylic paint and the ferns with versamagic. A sprinkling of glamour dust for the wings, I really wanted the sentiment to say Secret Garden, but of course I couldn't find any such stamp so I contented myself with calling this post it, instead.
Off now to make some sort of attempt at tidying my work space.
Have a Great Valentines Day XX
The arch is such a perfect stage for those stylish fairies and incorporating flowers and fern really does create a Spring garden for their setting.

ReplyDeleteBack this time with my CI hat taken off.
As much as I adore pink (just in case you didn't realise that!) the purples suit the stylish fairies much better.
As always beautifully stamped and you may not have the sentiment you wanted in your stash but it doesn't detract from this beautiful piece of altered art.
Happy Valentine's.
Lynne
This is so pretty :D i like the way the darkness of the background of the stamp gives it a 3D effect :D

This is just totally delightful, and in very pretty colours too. Lovely secret Spring garden! Thanks for joining us again. Jean
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteStunning piece Paula. I love all of it, the stamps (I have the one on the right), the colours and your skill in colouring the whole thing. I'm still thinking about my entry and coincidentally was also thinking 'secret garden' and, what I call, 'pansy' colours ie. lemon and lilac. Will have to get my skates on - so much to do so little.....
ReplyDeleteYummi! I loved the pink, really I did, but the purple just jumps of the page, sooo beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI also really like the way you embellished it, and the arches? Well they are amazing and you have put them to excellent use.
BTW thanks for your sweet comment on my blog, it cheered me up no end lol...
Paula you have created the perfect spring garden with all the flowers and ferns, and your fairies look very happy living there!!
